Mona Glass works as a conceptual artist, scenographer and curator. Born in Hamburg, she came to Berlin in 2010 to start her studies in art history and theatre science at Freie Universität Berlin. After finishing her BA in 2016 she entered the MA program “Bühnenbild_Szenischer Raum” (stage design, scenography) at Technische Universität Berlin, graduating in 2018. Her artistic expression started out with painting, the curiosity of leaving the still and two- dimensional medium and a couple of years of work in a theatre made her move into a scenic room spectrum. Dealing with socipolitical questions of identity, social interaction and everyones individual impact on creating reality, she developes experimental movies, audiovisual installations and conceptual sculptures.
In 2019 she initiated the foundation of “Experimentelles Zukunftslabor e.V.”, an interdisciplinary group of people doing future- oriented project development and cultural events with an interactive focus, willing to be an active part of a sustainable change of environmental and social matters, aiming for the realization of positive future visions.
